Summary

What would it mean to become supernatural? What if you could train your brain to tune in to frequencies beyond our material world 。。。 change your brain circuitry and chemistry to access transcendent levels of awareness 。。。 and transform your very biology to enable profound healing?

This is one of the abilities Dr Joe Dispenza offers in this revolutionary book: a set of tools that allow ordinary people to reach extraordinary states of being。

Dr Joe, author of the New York Times bestseller You Are the Placebo, draws on up-to-the-minute research in neuroscience, epigenetics, psychoneuroimmunology, neurocardiology, electromagnetism and quantum physics to show how human transformation and change takes place and what it can mean for our lives。 In these pages, you'll explore how to free yourself from the past by reconditioning your body to a new mind and how to shift your awareness into the quantum field of infinite possibilities。 Using tools and practices ranging from state-of-the-art brain imaging to exercises such as a walking meditation and a technique to strengthen your immune system by thoughts alone, Dr Joe offers nothing less than a programme for stepping outside our physical reality and into a new world。

It isn’t clear。 In any case, this picks up where “The Field” by Lynne McTaggart (book 4 of 2023) leaves off。 It tries to give practical guidance to realigning the energy fields around and in the body。 I don’t doubt the results he reports but the presentation lacks scientific detail that I’d find useful。 I think that both Dispenza and McTaggart are on to something but there are many unanswered questions that get glossed over by both, too。 The meditations are good, regardless of whether we really become quantum particles or not。 One thing that strikes me from this field of literature, as well as the religious mystics, is that the Enlightenment did a real disservice to our sense of the divine, its connection to each of us, and the interconnected mess of everything。 We overly atomized and rationalized everything and gave up so much in the process。 There’s so much more to it than that, and the real beauty is the mysterious yet loving energy that is in all things; the essence of all religions。 Organized religion was complicit in this, with a focus on providing answers for everything (the asinine nature of so-called apologetics being the culmination of this in the 20th century) that we suppressed the mystery that is the real motor of faith。 No wonder, then that organized religion became a set of corrupt institutions- how can they be otherwise when they ignore their higher calling for so long? 。。。more

A great book with a very in depth read! The reason giving 4 stars is a few of the points were repeated multiple times and felt it rambled a bit。 The meditations at the end of each chapter would’ve been great if it directed you straight to a free audio version, however, you must pay for that。

The book mainly talks about thinking-feeling loop and the corelation of brain to body。 Alot of concepts but less from in terms of practical guide。 Still a right step in understanding impact of meditation, vibrations and universe。

This book is a good compilation of meditation practices。 I would consider this almost like a meditators handbook on some simple and effective meditation practices。 The case studies were fascinating to read about, but what was most inspiring was the level of knowledge behind epigenetic, environmental, and physiological factors that are connected to our sense of well-being and vise versa! A book for all ages!

Yeh。。。。 I don't know about this one。 Parts of it stunk of BS while other parts appeared to ring true。 It was interesting, in parts, and drivel in others, I can't settle on a feeling。 Yeh。。。。 I don't know about this one。 Parts of it stunk of BS while other parts appeared to ring true。 It was interesting, in parts, and drivel in others, I can't settle on a feeling。 。。。more

This book is golden。 Wonderful information on how your mind works and how to change your thinking。

Great introduction to meditation Full of good info and direction。 The writing is somewhat repetitive, which frustrated me but still very interesting and informative。 I also am not fond of testimonials so someone else who appreciates them will enjoy it more。

First of all, I love learning about the mind-body connection。 I fully believe that our emotions influence our physical health。 I know there is deep value in meditation。 And I know that chronic stress negatively impacts the body in so many ways, most of which we probably still don't understand。 This is all to say I thought I would like this book。 But it gives off such strong cult vibes! I do not trust the author at all。 The foreword to the book, in the very first paragraph, alludes to the unproven claim about a man who lived to age 256, but asserts it as a known fact。 This part is written by a different author, but Dispenza continues the habit of asserting everything as fact, which makes me distrust everything he says。 The mind-body connection is in its infancy in terms of our understanding of it, but Dispenza thinks he already understands it。 The whole book read like pseudoscience for that reason。 Furthermore, Dispenza ends each chapter with directions for meditations, most of which are garbage instructions。 This would motivate people to buy his meditations so they'd actually know what to do, which are $25 apiece。 This makes the whole thing seem like a money-making scheme (not to mention the $2000+ dollar “advanced retreats”)。 Meditation is not the only thing that helps people heal or have spontaneous remissions, although from this book you would think that Dispenza has the monopoly on these sorts of things。 His methods may be effective for many, I’m not disputing it, but there is nothing necessarily uniquely magic in his ways—this would ignore the large, mostly unseen group of people who heal themselves from illnesses by healing their relationships with themselves, with others, and with life (sometimes with the help of meditation, sometimes not)。 There are several typos in this book, simple spelling errors, which I found very odd because I almost never see that in published books。 Furthermore, the book could have been SO MUCH shorter。 It was wordy and overly detailed with silly diagrams; I was heavily skimming by the end。Another issue I have was that he said many of his students have healed from “food allergies and sensitivities like celiac disease” (p93)。 I hate claims like this because there is zero record of anyone ever permanently “healing celiac disease” to the point where you can eat gluten with no consequences; it is notably a currently incurable autoimmune condition and not a “food allergy” or “sensitivity。” He later mentions a case study in which a woman with celiac disease and many other ailments on one of his retreats spontaneously eats “normal food” including the “best pizza” she’s ever had, and then she continues to eat gluten for the rest of her life without any consequence (p150)。 That is so incredibly hard to believe。 Meaning, I don’t believe it。 I guess this could be countered by saying that’s the point of the book, incredible healing, but I would like to see some proof。 This book made me angry。 Maybe his meditations are good, I honestly don't doubt that, but seriously scrap the book and start over。 。。。more

Several topics are very well done but the constant push of taking the classes and workshops is very distracting

I really liked the overall message that our bodies are designed to heal themselves, and that it’s up to us to create the right conditions for them to do so。 However, I felt like I was reading new age spiritualism wrapped in scientific jargon to make it seem more legitimate。

This is a must read for everyone! How do know that? It's because I think it is safe to say that everyone wants to make positive changes in their lives (physically, mentally, and emotionally) and this book can show you how。 Dr。 Joe will share with you his own firsthand experiences which would eventually lead him down this path of research。 There are interesting stories about his research and those he has helped along the way, as well as their results, which are astounding。 I have been following D This is a must read for everyone! Interesting science, theories and concepts but after awhile I found it somewhat repetitive。 I very much enjoyed the meditation exercises and will try them out

Enjoyed the specific descriptions on how to apply and practice the various types of meditations。 The case studies are also great back up points to the meditations。

I wish the book had a more simplistic approach, found some really cool scientific stuff & great case studies which I liked, + I find myself returning to the AFTERWORD segment quite often I love it so much!• I hoped there were more chapters about Quantum physics。• and the Meditations/Breathwork are a little complicated (it requires a lot of work)

Disclaimer: I did not finish this book。 When the author began using modern medicine as the enemy and meditation as a means to heal cancer, I couldn’t do it anymore。 I understand that the mind can be a powerful tool。 But I find this kind of thing dangerous。 Will not recommend。

I have mixed feelings about this book。 While I definitely found merit in some of the meditations, and I will likely continue to use them in my daily practice; I am skeptical about the cancer and disease-healing stories。 I hope they’re true; I want them to be true; I believe in the power of positive thinking (kinda)。 Joe Dispenza appears to have good intentions, there’s also a kernel (boulder) of doubt in my gut regarding Dispenza’s endgame。 It costs over $500 to attend a three day workshop (plus I have mixed feelings about this book。 While I definitely found merit in some of the meditations, and I will likely continue to use them in my daily practice; I am skeptical about the cancer and disease-healing stories。 I hope they’re true; I want them to be true; I believe in the power of positive thinking (kinda)。 Joe Dispenza appears to have good intentions, there’s also a kernel (boulder) of doubt in my gut regarding Dispenza’s endgame。 It costs over $500 to attend a three day workshop (plus the cost of getting to, and staying in whatever country Joe is teaching in)。 There are less expensive online options too, and in Joe’s defense, there are tons of free YouTube videos of his teachings available - still 。 。 。 I have doubts。 Maybe it’s the feeling I get when I see snippets/photos of Dispenza’s conferences and workshops - they have a creepy, slightly evangelical, white guy cult leader vibe that makes me want to run for the hills。 For now, I’m going to adopt a “take the best and leave the rest” approach。 。。。more
